Meet vs. Heritage AND Invitational AT Big Walnut

Good evening!

I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend with their families, the weather looks to be wonderful.

A few things to be looking forward to:
1) I have posted a tentative events list below for our HOME meet versus Hilliard Heritage next Wednesday. Some athletes events are quite filled in but we'll make final decisions together on Monday! Most importantly though is we NEED VOLUNTEERS!! Please, please, please sign up, especially for high jump: read names, record misses and makes, reset the bar when an athlete misses, and raise the bar if everyone clears. The more volunteers we have signed up the smoother (and quicker) the meet will go!

2) I have also posted a tentative events list for the Big Walnut Invitational next Saturday. Some important information about that meet is: buses will depart from Worthingway at 7:45 AM and return to Worthingway at the conclusion of the meet. The meet is hosted at Big Walnut MIDDLE SCHOOL this year, so those of you who had athletes participate in the past, the meet has moved this year (directions below). More information at the bottom of this post.

Location of Meet:  Big Walnut Middle School
                              777 Cheshire Road
                              Sunbury, OH 43074

Gate Fee:  $4.00 adults - $2.00 students - $2.00 Buckeye Card

Times:     8:30    Coaches/Scratch Meeting(Just Outside Press Box) Coffee and Doughnuts
                9:15    Field Events begin
                           Boys Discus and Girls Shot Put will be first.
                           Boys Long Jump and Girls High Jump will be first
                           Long Jump (1.5 hrs open pit)
                           High Jump - Starting height will be 4' 0" for girls and 4' 4" for boys.
                11:00  Heats will begin
                12:00  Running events will begin

Entries: 2 athletes per event; One relay team per event

Awards          Team – 1st, 2nd and 3rd (Boys and Girls)
                        Individual – 1st, 2nd 3rd (Medals) 4th,5th,6th (Ribbons)

Events Scoring: All events place the top 8        10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1

Total Events: Each athlete may participate in 3 total events for the day.
